Manuscripts and rare books of the National Library of Belarus 
 
The National Library of Belarus holds more than 7.3 million volumes, including the nominated collection of 59,514 rare and ancient manuscripts and publications. Highlights from the collection include:  
  • 16 original editions of Martin Luther; 3 original editions by Ivan Fiedorov, the first Russian printer, including the first complete translation of the Bible into Slavic (Ostrog, 1581) 
  • Books, reviews, posters and caricatures from the time of the Paris Commune 
  • About 1000 publications from the period of the October Revolution (1917) in the first years of Soviet rule.
