Carmina et epistolae is a collection of poems and letters by the Italian humanist Lucius  
Marineus dedicated or addressed to Prince Miguel, son of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella  
of Spain, and other dignitaries.  
Archbishop Jiménez de Rada's work marks the beginning of a long series of historical monographs on Spain: It is a record of Hispanic events, in which the genealogy of the royal Houses of Navarre, Aragón, Castile and Portugal is established.
