  Objectives

To raise awareness of reproductive health, birth spacing and HIV/AIDS/STD prevention issues among identified population target groups.
To introduce IEC and counceling at service delivery points.
To introduce and improve reproductive health and safe-sex education for in-school adolescents and youth.

  Activities

Consultant missions to establish contacts with the major partners were fielded (February, July - August 1997). Consultant mission (September - August 1997) to support national activities in population, family, community life and reproductive health was fielded. Consultancy was provided to establish a programme for population studies and training at the University.
