Objectives

To contribute to the improvement of the profession of journalism in the countries of the Andean region, in the interests of endogenous journalistic production, the media and the general public.
To promote ethical values, independent criteria, intellectual excellence and rigour in investigative journalism. Implement a strategy and develop training for the production of educational material for nursery, primary and secondary education, and an evaluation strategy as regards the relationship between active television viewing and curriculum.

Activities

1. Organize a serial of workshops for the production of educational material and evaluation techniques on active television viewing (ATW) and the curriculum addressed to teachers trained in ATW methods.
2. Test the material produced by the workshops with a view to incorporating it into the curricula in nursery, primary and secondary education.
3. Disseminate the educational material.
