Objectives

Increase the endogenous production of news items, programmes and information by the media. Establish a highly specialized communication centre to assist both the mass media and the institutions (both public and private) which are active in the production of programmes and information for the development of the region.

Activities

1. Conduct a study with view to using communication in the priority development projects which CORPOLLANOS is carrying in four areas: women, environmental protection, assistance for local government and help for farmers.
2. Produce 20 short programmes and five documentaries on the four priority themes to be broadcast by local radio stations.
3. Produce special supplements on aspects of rural development, quality of life and local government.
4. Carry out three workshops on communication for rural development addressed to media journalists and municipal authorities.
5. Compile a publication drawing on the experience acquired in the implementation of the project and its results.
