Objectives
|
To stimulate overall development of the Iwokrama District in conjunction
with that of the Iwokrama Rainforest Programme. Provide a medium for
2 way access of information between the interior and the coast. Foster
economic and social upliftment through self-involvement and participation
in community/nation building.

Activities
|
Establish a mutually agreed workplan with the national authorities of
Guyana. Identify a local coordinator/trainer and determine choice of
trainees; organize on-site technical and operational training. Procure
and install equipment and materials and prepare contract for execution
of project. Project proposal for further community media development
with appropriate partners for extra-budgetary funding.
