6. Vocational applications of RAMP studies (appendix 5, questions 10 and 11; Appendix 6).
Question 10 deals with vocational applications by training personnel. According to our participants, the studies are mostly used as material for lecture or workshop preparation, and can be cited in course material distributed to the students (77%). Theoretical research applications rank second (68%), while training programme development ranks third with 55%. We are unable to provide a full information on the instances of professors using RAMP studies as required reading material or including them in course outlines or bibliographies, since we neglected to include the option in our English questionnaire. However, the respondents who filled the French questionnaire mention this type of application in a proportion of 82%.
In answering question 11, 83% of the participants indicate having located documents of interest through the bibliographies included in RAMP studies, namely those indicated in Appendix 6. The studies most often cited are those of KETELAAR (PGI-85/WS/9) and DUCHEIN (PGI-83/WS/20), followed by CHARMAN (PGI-84/WS/26), LEAREY (PGI-85/WS/10) and RHOADS (PGI-83/WS/21).
