Biennale of Luanda ends with recommendations towards 2021

The first edition of the Biennale of Luanda, a Pan-African Forum on Culture of Peace has ended with a concert for peace and with the adoption of a formal notice, which highlighter the results and recommendations extracted from its various meetings.

UNESCO, the African Union and the Government of Angola organized this event together, which lasted for five days as a celebration of various African values, beliefs, forms of spirituality, knowledge, and traditions that contribute to the respect for the human rights, the cultural diversity, the denial of violence and the development of democratic societies.

Among the main contributors of the discussions were young people from the African Continent and the Diaspora countries. As a result of the Biennale,  a Declaration was elaborated with recommendations in which the participants requested, among other things, that the African Union create a continental entity to finance projects of social and economic entrepreneurship for youth. They also urged to the regional economic platforms to work with the United Nations on the creation of political structures to promote creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment to young people.
