Director-General on Official Visit to Ethiopia

On 23 March, UNESCO Director-General, Irina Bokova, will undertake an official visit to Ethiopia, where she is expected to participate in the Women in Parliaments Global Forum Summit 2015, held in the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa.

The Summit is held under the theme “New Leadership for Global Challenges” and will bring together more than 400 female members of Parliaments and Governments.

On the margins on the Summit, the Director-General is expected to meet with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

In Addis Ababa, Irina Bokova is also expected to meet with the President of Ethiopia, H. E. Mr Mulatu Teshome Wirtu, the Prime Minister, H. E. Mr Hailemariam Desalegn, and the Minister of Education and Chairperson of the Ethiopian National Agency to UNESCO at a roundtable with line Ministers.
