Iphan holds international meeting in Rio Grande do Sul to enhance Southern cultural heritage and tourism

From October 23 to 26, Porto Alegre will host exhibitions, seminars and technical meetings between UNESCO Brazilian Office and Mercosur countries to strengthen the cultural heritage of the region

The Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage – Iphan) of Brazil promote from October 23 to 26 a series of events aimed at enhancing the South America’s southern cultural heritage. The activities take place in Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul) and will receive international authorities and national experts, who will also discuss the economic potential of cultural heritage in its tourism dimension.
