The Convent of Santa Clara: A new creative hub in the region

The restoration of the convent of Santa Clara aims at repurposing the historic site into a center for academic training in arts and crafts for restoration and conservation of the heritage of Cuba, the Caribbean, and the Antilles. This training center will be part of the training hub for regional culture, which will be established in Cuba as a result of the Transcultura project. Cultural richness and creative dynamism will be the base of this training hub, boosting socio-economic development and deepen regional integration through the strengthening of skills and cultural collaboration.

Financed by the European Union, the project will be beneficial for Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cuba, Dominica, Granada, Guiana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Surinam, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Dominican Republic.
