Within the overall scope of the project 570RER2000 Design and testing of a multipurpose transboundary groundwater monitoring network in the Extended Drin River Basin that aims at designing and testing a multipurpose transboundary groundwater monitoring network in the Extended Drin River Basin Albania and Montenegro as well establishment of a systematic monitoring of groundwater resources state quantity and quality in the project focus area The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe invites the skilled companies to submit their offers for the provision of services for Water quality Monitoring in Albania at a location to be identified in coordination with the Albanian Geological Survey and near the Belaj VelipojeQerret and Samrishit existing wells as per the informations given in the Annexes 1 and 2 The project is being implemented as a part of the overall Drin pilot project in Albania related to groundwater monitoring in the transboundary aquifers located within the SkadarShkoder BunaBojana area shared by Albania and Montenegro

Today is an important step for media selfregulation and media freedom in Albania It is very timely and encouraging to see many media outlets in the room joining forces to launch a media coalition that will strengthen the Albanian Media Council said Adeline Hulin from UNESCO in her opening speech On 12 February 2020 19 media outlets signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting the basis of the restructuring of the existing Albanian Media Council The Council until now composed of individual journalists is now composed of the representatives of the media who have now joined the coalition It will elect its board in charge of handling citizens complaints about potential breach of the journalistic code of ethics
