Perú - Intangible Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development

The narration of stories, myths and legends, accompanied by songs about animals and plants, are part of the cultural heritage of the Ese eja people. It is the elders of the community who carry this important legacy and pass it on to the younger generations in the Palma Real Native Community.

The collective was a beneficiary of the Line to strengthen community memory within the framework of Emergency Decree No. 058-220 aimed at cultural workers and bearers of intangible cultural heritage whose economic activities were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
