Perú - Intangible Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development


The documentary in Ticuna language presents a collective of the community of Cushillo Cocha explaining the process of elaboration of fariña. Fariña, a traditional food of the Amazon, is part of the daily diet and is an important element of the Ticuna people that demonstrates the set of ancestral knowledge and technologies that are used for its elaboration.

The collective was a beneficiary of the Line for the strengthening of community memory in the framework of Emergency Decree No. 058-220 aimed at cultural workers and bearers of intangible cultural heritage whose economic activities were affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
