Look at Me, Not My Disability!
Analogue only: English,
People look at the disability and not at the disabled person. This video shows people in the street who only see an empty wheelchair and cannot see the little child in the wheelchair...
Different Abilities is a program aimed at the social inclusion of persons with disabilities, providing them with strong creative knowledge and the opportunity to learn and express their stories and raise awareness of their rights by using audio-visual means. The programme was conducted through a three month workshop which resulted in two public service announcements developed by the participants themselves.
The video promotes the awareness of the rights of people with disabilities. Its production by persons with disabilities is the first of its kind in Jordan.
