International Jazz Day 2012 - Marcus Miller's Jazz Master Classes
Language: English
As part of the celebrations of the first International Jazz Day, eight greats of the gender gave master classes at UNESCO headquarters.
Herbie Hancock, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marcus Miller and Barbara Hendricks among others talked about how they became jazz musicians, as well as about the people that inspired and helped them when they started.
In this master class, Marcus Miller takes us down the road covered by the bass guitar during its fascinating evolution, which was possible thanks to innovators of genius such as Larry Graham and Francis Rocco Prestia
