Zero Stigma
Language: English
This video highlights the UN Cares campaign during the International AIDS Conference, 22-27 May 2012, on the 3-zero goal to end the HIV epidemic: zero new HIV infections, zero AIDS-related deaths, zero discrimination.
The message next to the board addresses a common social stigma, that HIV infection is the result of moral fault. Such stigmatization prevents people from seeking information, treatment and counseling and from leading healthy and productive lives.
UNESCO Bangkok staff were asked to remove stickers from the Stigma poster and, thus, unveil the message: Respect, Acceptance, Diversity
