La campagne d'alphabétisation en Éthiopie : en 1974, 93% des Éthiopiens ne savaient ni lire, ni écrire. En 1982, après les campagnes d'alphabétisation de 1975 et 1979, ce pourcentage était tombé à 55%. L'UNESCO a lancé un appel à la communauté internationale afin que ces campagnes se poursuivent.
