Video about Farsi Beizavi, the Iranian philologist known as Sibouyeh, (761-796). The film was first shown at UNESCO on occasion of the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures, 2010. That event coincided with the celebration of the 1250th anniversary of the birth of Sibouyeh, who is known for being one of the earliest grammarians of the Arabic language who contributed significantly to the improvement of the study of linguistics and the Arabic language. With his book Al Kitab, Sibouyeh was among the first non-Arabs to write on Arabic grammar.
