The Culture Train (Le train des cultures)

The Train of Culture Project was launched by UNESCO and seven African UNESCO National Committees in the early 1990's. The project was based on the idea that culture should be a living things for everyone and that the role of artists is essential in developing a culture of peace.
In May 1995 forty African artists embarked on the Culture Train to cover 5,000 km and presented their work in 7 African capitals.
