This audio presentation by Dr. Robert Westwater, former chief inspector of public schools in Ottawa, Canada, is concerned with the results of Arab-Israeli tensions that led to one million Palestinian Arabs who sought refuge in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan among other places. Nearly 880,000 refugees were being cared for by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. During this time, a rapid expansion of educational facilities was taking place. In this report, funding was discussed alongside the necessity to procure more to increase the budget for education.
