This report provides a brief overview of the issues that were discussed at the World Population Conference in September, 1954 in Rome, Italy. The issues included rising population rates and the potential of atomic energy. The meeting was the first of its kind since the second World War and approximately 50 states were in attendance. The conference was sponsored by the United Nations.
