The main objective of the UNESCO Chair at Royal Holloway, University of London, is to train significant numbers of people from poor and marginalized communities through high quality short courses on policy-related matters delivered by the collective. The Chair under the responsibility of Prof. Tim Unwin, Chairholder, collaborates with other UNESCO chairs, notably in Latin American (Argentina) and Asia (Pakistan) by developing a network in ICT4 development. The Chair's challenge is to set up an European-African network of research capacity in the field of ICTs for Development.
