This is a podcast in English with Fernando Reimers, a professor at Harvard University and member of the UNESCO Futures of Education Commission. It serves as supporting material for the first chapter of the online free training course on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) to be offered by UNESCO in Portuguese. The course is focused on building skills of learners with values, knowledge, and skills that are based on and in respect for human rights, social justice, diversity, gender equality and environmental sustainability. It also intends to empower learners to be responsible global citizens. The training aims to give learners the competencies and opportunities to realize their rights and obligations to promote a better world and future for all.
