Frederick Bellenger, a chemical engineer from the United States of America, discusses his experiences working in Egypt through the UNESCO Technical Assistance programme. His assignment involves the planning and development of an applied research center. The purpose of the center is to conduct research in the fields of chemistry, physics, agriculture, and public health. In addition to Mr. Bellenger, UNESCO also sent a small team of experts, each with their own area of speciality, to assist with the establishment of the center.
