Rex Keating interviews J. J. Taylor, the Secretary and General Manager of the United Kingdom Workers Travel Association. Prior to this interview, delegates from twelve European countries held the 9th annual conference for the International Federation of Workers Travel Association. These organizations are independent and were established by trade union movements, cooperative movements, and adult education movements of western countries. They arrange journeys abroad for groups of workers and also independent travellers. When UNESCO initiates a project involving the movement of workers between countries, they work with the Workers Travel Association and receive technical assistance and advice.
