Interview between George Stoddard, dean of the School of Education at New York University, and Ms Napier (United Nations Information Centres), one of the experts assembled for a UNESCO meeting to study the influences of mass media, particularly television and film, on the behaviour of children. While Mr. Stoddard believes mass media can influence bad behaviours in youth, there are also positive influences such as improved understanding of different cultures and increased knowledge of the world. He also discusses the United States’ system of film censorship.
