Heritage So Young - Bamboo Trip in Chishui
Language: 中文, subtitles English
With over 86,600 hectares of bamboo forests, Chishui is known as the ten greatest bamboo habitats in China. Green bamboo and the red soils of Danxia landscape form the unique natural beauty of Chishui. The people of Chishui, who have lived here for generations, turn these bamboo resources into delicate works of art and household items using bamboo weaving and bamboo carving, and into water transportation vehicles using skills of “bamboo floating”. This summer, a team of young people take us into Chishui, and understand the importance of bamboo to local communities and culture.
