Internet for Trust Global Conference, Session 1: Supporting an Internet for Trust
21-23 February 2023, UNESCO Headquarters, Paris. UNESCO hosted the Internet for Trust conference to discuss a set of draft global guidelines for regulating digital platforms, to safeguarding freedom of expression and access to information.
The panel of the session 1, titled Supporting an Internet for Trust, was moderated by Patrícia Campos Mello, Reporter and columnist (Folha de Sao Paulo, Brazil). I was composed of: Christophe Deloire, chair of the Forum on Information and Democracy, secretary general of Reporters Without Borders (RSF); Helani Galpaya, CEO, LIRNEAsia, Sri Lanka; Pansy Tlakula, chairperson of the Information Regulator, South Africa; Nizar Yaïche, global digital leader for Government and Public Services, PwC, Tunisia, and Chris Sharrock, vice president, UN Affairs and International Organizations at Microsoft.
