Why Is It Important to Become Media and Information Literate?

Alton Grizzle, Programme Specialist at Communication and Information Sector in UNESCO, who coordinates UNESCO’s global action on Media and Information Literacy, served as a moderator and opened the conversation. At the same time, there are 2 special guests from Brazil and the United States. One is Ms Sherri Hope Culver. She is the director of Center for Media and Information Literacy at the Temple University and associate Pprofessor. The other is Dr. Beatrice Bonami, researcher at the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response by the World Health Organization, Youth ambassador for the Youth Committee of the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance. Together, they will help you get under the skin of Media and Information Literacy.
