Under the aegis of UNESCO and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and with the support of the Swiss National Commission of UNESCO, the Melody for Dialogue Among Civilizations Association organized, in Geneva on 1 October 2009 an innovative cultural programme entitled Music for a green planet, that unfolded in two parts: an international forum on the theme Music as catalyst for environmental awareness, aimed at examining the mutual relations between music, the environment and sustainable development, and a muti-cultural concert Music for a green planet, in the prestigious Victoria Hall Geneva
