The Loire Valley between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes
Already listed as a World Heritage cultural site in 1981 (the Chambord Estate and its château are most certainly an “eminent example of a type of construction or architectural, technological or landscape ensemble illustrative of one or more significant periods in human history”), the Chambord estate is now listed as part of the Val de Loire site, specifically the “Val de Loire between Sully and Chalonnes” area thereof.
