Angkor's Renaissance 1992 - 2012
Inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List since 1992, the Angkor Park spreads over 400 km2 in north-eastern Cambodia. There, the architectural genius of the khmer people and its kings is manifested powerfully and subtly in hundreds of temples and archaeological sites. More than 100.000 people live in the classified perimeter. They have been witness of Angkor's renaissance, engineered by the Cambodian government and the international community under the guidance of the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor (ICC).
