In this new episode of The Wave, we are happy to have four experts sit down and discuss African textiles and how we can make the textile industry in Africa an engine for job creation and income generator Host Shaldon Kopman, creative director & CEO at The Naked Ape. Aissa Dione, is a Senegalese textile producer who works with luxury houses the world over. More importantly, she is an advocate for African, and more specifically West African textile savoir-faire. Adil Lamnini, is the President of the label “Made in Morocco”, which works to enhance Moroccan brands through the development of products and services. He is also the author of the book “Start Down: the real life chronicles of a Moroccan entrepreneur”, which endeavours to give young entrepreneurs pearls of wisdom on how to start and run a business. Anne Grosfilley, is a specialist of African textiles. She studied their history and is renowned for her profound knowledge of African fashion history.
