The Journey of Musical Instruments through the Ages
Ancient musical instruments have disappeared and are at risk of being lost forever along with their mystery and charm; they are only remembered through engravings and drawings.
UNESCO Beirut Office presents these long forgotten musical instruments through the work of Nasser Makhoul, a Lebanese artist who has meticulously gathered, reproduced and crafted them in his workshop. The musical instruments displayed in this documentary include woodwind, percussion and stringed instruments that date back from 3,000 BC to the 17th Century.
