A video promoting the International Literacy day held in Barcelona in 2004. The Literacy Day is celebrated each year to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities and societies. 2004 celebrations were consecrated to Literacy and Gender, with statistics claiming that almost one in every seven people were illiterate, and that, out of a total of 860 million illiterate adults, more than 500 million were women. The material on this VHS is composed of two short videos with subtitles in six languages.
