It Doesn’t Work without the Ocean
Language: English
UNESCO’s Many Voices, One World looks at the role the ocean plays in putting the brakes on climate change. The upcoming UN climate meeting in Madrid, COP25 (December 2020), is being called the “Blue COP” for its emphasis on the ocean. United Nations Special Envoy for the Ocean, Peter Thomson, joins host George Papagiannis to talk about how the ecosystems of the deep are both victims of our excess, and critical to avoiding irreparable damage to our planet in the next decade and beyond.
