Under the UNESCO initiative Revive The Spirit of Mosul, the first phase of the reconstruction project of the Alnouri Mosque was completed with the demining of the site, the removal of the rubble and temporary stabilisation of remaining structures. The project provided more than 280 jobs opportunities for Iraqis.
