UNESCO presents, in collaboration with the Norwegian State Radio, The People Sing and Dance. This recording is the first in a series of five programmes on the recent Third Festival of the International Folk Music Council, held in Oslo in 1955. The series was produced in the UNESCO studios in Paris, with production and narration by Herbert Steinhouse. Music from Norway, Sweden, and Finland is featured in this recording, and the speaker highlights some details about the festival and information about the featured folk music.
