Gender Equality in the Film Industry in the Maghreb-Machrek

Carried out in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia, the project helped to bring to light and document existing gender inequalities within the Arabic language film industry. It also surfaced female talents and catalyzed a support network to fight gender stereotypes in the film industry.
Co-funded by the European Union and UNESCO, through the Multi-Donor Programme on Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalists (MDP).
