People in Paris: free flow of ideas and information
The National Association of Educational Broadcasters (NAEB) presents, “People in Paris,” a series of informal interviews with people who are doing interesting and significant things in the French capital. In this recording, Keith Maurice Engar (WYNC) interviews Tor Gjesdal, director of the Department of Mass Communications of UNESCO, about his role, the mission of the Department of Mass Communications, and what they do to support the free flow of ideas and information throughout the world. In particular, they discuss how barriers to the free flow of information can be removed, the solutions that UNESCO contributes to, and the potential of radio in this area.
