The International Youth Day 2022 falls on 12th August. The theme of this year is “Intergenerational solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages.” The objective of this year’s theme is to amplify the message that action is needed across all generations to achieve the SDGs and leave no one behind.

A joint advocacy activity to celebrate the 2022 International Youth Day was conducted led by the United Nations Theme Group on Youth (UNTGY) in coordination with the United Nations Communication Group (UNCG) and dozens of UN Agencies in China, including UNESCO. The output was a video product of intergenerational dialogue between young people and the UN Representatives in China to promote intergenerational solidarity and leverage full potential of all generations for achieving SDGs.
