Heinz Schappert and Elwin Walther give a talk on the electronic composition of music. The speakers describe computer programmes that enable computers to interpret inputted rules of musical composition, and automatically compose new music based on those rules. Included are recordings of several computer-generated musical compositions, performed by human musicians.
