Natural Science on Seismology

Language: English

seismologist Fournier d'Albe makes a statement on UNESCO's seismology missions that followed three recent earthquakes (1964), in Agadir, Morocco; Buin Zahra, Iran; and Skopje, North Macedonia (formerly part of Yugoslavia). These efforts aimed to research the durability of different types of buildings in the event of an earthquake. D'Albe discusses UNESCO's plans to establish a new organization of seismology experts, in order to more quickly respond to earthquakes.
