Interview with Jordi Savall, UNESCO Artist for Peace
Language: English
On 8 September, the UNESCO Venice Office hosted a unique public encounter with Jordi Savall. Unanimously recognized as one of the most important performers of ancient music at the present time, Savall is one of the most multi-faceted musical personalities of his generation: viol player, conductor, his concerts, pedagogical and research activities place him among the main architects of the present process of revaluation of historical music.
Savall was named UNESCO Artist for Peace in 2009 for his outstanding musical commitment to intercultural dialogue.
