UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Mr. Herbie Hancock, Visits Cambodia from 9 to 16 December 2011

Phnom Penh, 09 December 2011 - The Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO, Mr. Herbie Hancock, will undertake a visit to Cambodia from 9 to 16 December 2011. Mr. Hancock, a driving force of important movements in music since the 1960s, is a renowned jazz musician and the winner of an Academy Award and 14 Grammy Awards. He has been officially designated as ambassador at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on 22 July 2011.

The International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor (ICC-Angkor) Meets in Siem Reap, Cambodia

On December 12-13 2011, the International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor (ICC-Angkor) will be holding its 18th Plenary Session in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The objectives of this session are to discuss the status of preservation and development of Angkor, to assess the work that had been implemented in the last 6 months and to bring new assistance to the projects if necessary.

World Aids Day 2011: Getting to Zero - Zero New HIV Infection, Zero Discrimination, and Zero Aids Related Deaths

Phnom Penh, 1 December 2011 - The National AIDS Authority (NAA) in collaboration with HIV/AIDS coordination committee and UN agencies, has organized a half day event for the World AIDS Day in Phnom Penh at Chaktomuk Conference Hall which was presided over by the First Lady, Lork Chumteav Bun Rany Hun Sen.
