Signing the Country Agreement for the Project on Establishing New Community Learning Centers in Rural Sudan
On 01 September 2020 the Sudanese National Council for Literacy and Adult Education NCLAE and UNESCO signed the Agreement for supporting the project Strengthening ILO TREE with Sheep Goat Breeding Skills and Community Learning Centers funded by the International Labor Organization ILO The ceremony took place in the Ministry of Education the Project Implementation Unit and was honored by HE Dr Hamed Said the General Secretary of the NCLAE HE Mr Pavel Kroupkine the UNESCO Representative to Sudan the Heads of Departments in NCLAE and other distinguished people The project was entrusted to UNESCO in frameworks of the Programme Building Capacity for Inclusive Service Delivery CAPISUD funded by the African Development Bank and being implemented by the Sudanese Ministry of Labor and Social development MoLSD who delegated to the ILO responsibility for the programmes Outcome 3 Sustainable communitybased safetynet platforms in North Kordofan NK and White Nile WN states of Sudan UNESCO will establish 20 Community Learning Centers in NK and WN and women associations to manage these CLCs In addition to this the audiovisual content will be developed for strengthening skills of rural women in sheep and goat breeding and organized a set of capacity building sessions covering at least 600 rural women and girls
