Cultural twinning between Brusciano and Macerata Campania

On the occasion of the Tenth Anniversary of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, adopted by the UNESCO General Conference in Paris and within the ICHNet initiative «Culture Viventi» - during of the 138th edition of "Festa dei Gigli" in Brusciano - the italian communities of Brusciano and Macerata Campania will establish a cultural twinning. This twinning establishes a partnerships between this communities, in order to cooperate for sustainability, defense and protection of their cultural diversity and Intangible Cultural Heritage. The experiences of traditions such as "Battuglie di Pastellessa" of Macerata Campania (worship of St. Anthony the Abbot) and "Gigli" of Brusciano (worship of St. Anthony of Padua), in addition to cultural and ethnic diversity of communities, will be compared in order to create sustainability policies.
