Under the theme, Charting the Course Towards Resilient Prosperity, the SIDS4 International Conference comes as SIDS Member States, many of which are tourist dependent nations, continue to face the lingering impacts of COVID-19, mounting debt, catastrophic climatic events, and biodiversity loss. These nations, in partnership with UNESCO, understand the urgency to chart a course towards greater resilience within the context of sustainable development to build prosperous societies now and for future generations.

The conference brings together SIDS and development agenda interests including world leaders, multilaterals, international organizations, academia, private sector, non- profits, community and advocacy groups among others. The discussions, held across May 27-30, will be hosted in St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda at the American University of Antigua.
