Presentation

The project aims to reinforce the Poto-Poto Painting School by training artists in new information and communication technologies. The project is expected to promote these artists and their work and contribute to the professionalization of their activities, reinforcing the School’s efforts and helping to attract funds to support Congolese arts.

Results

Provided working space and equipment to train artists in the use of new information technologies in Congo.

Main activities

  • Organizing a training workshop for artists on new information and communication technologies (ICTs) and sharing technical expertise;
  • Creating a database of the School’s artists, with a guide in paper and electronic format;
  • Organizing a national and international workshop-residencies for painters;
  • Opening the School’s database for international research purposes; and
  • Ensuring media coverage of the project to promote it among the country’s youth.
